Swedish bagpipes are available in the key of A or G, commonly referred to as A/e or G/d.
Reeds
Our instruments are equipped with modern synthetic reeds which gives a bright and full sound. We invented the original synthetic reed for the Swedish bagpipe over a decade ago and they are used worldwide by beginner, amateur, and professional musicians.
Extended Range
Our chanters are designed with the modern extended range which includes a right hand thumb hole (G natural for the A chanter and F natural for the G chanter) and the double tone holes C#/C for the A chanter and B/Bb for the G chanter. The lowest note on the A chanter is D and for the G chanter it is C.

Hybrid Swedish Bagpipe
Hybrid Swedish Bagpipe with both high and low drones playing A/e or G/d which give the set a drone accompaniment, along with the chanter, a full rounded tone. The 2 drone bagpipe has smaller well balanced drones and uses smallpipe type reeds in the drones, has a larger riveted smallpipe style bag, and the standard traditional chanter.
